Malolos Convention and Sports Center
Situated in Central Luzon and north of Manila lies Malolos City, a
component and capital city of the Province of Bulacan. It is a city
known for the historic Barasoin Church and home to some of the country’s
noble heroes like Marcelo H. Del Pilar and Gregorio Del Pilar and
National Artists like Francisco “Baltazar” Balagtas and Nicanor
Abelardo. It is a city of history – a perfect site for a historic event
such as the first simultaneous nationwide run in the country, the
PhilHealth Run 2013. This leg of the race is set to start and finish in
the Malolos Convention and Sports Center.
Proceeds of the run will go to the benefit of the PhilHealth Run’s
National Sponsor, the Philippine Children Medical Center, and the
regional beneficiary,
OB-Gynecology Department of the Bulacan Medical Center, a tertiary government hospital located at Malolos City.
